  • Important for many members is having the backing and credibility of an organization that represents high standards.  Being a Registered Member of the CPCA helps you to define yourself in an industry where anyone can call themselves a personal chef.

3. What are the costs of membership?  $30 per year. The membership year runs from Sept 1 to Aug 31 and if you join during the year you will be charged a prorated monthy fee to the end of the year.

4. Why is there a set-up fee?  This fee pays for the administrative costs needed to review and approve your membership and create your membership file containing your signed Code of Ethics and up to date Food safety certification.

4.  Why do I need to agree to the Code of Ethics in order to become a full Registered Member?  CPCA has worked to create high industry standards that separate us and our members from others who simply call themselves personal chefs.  When clients want the best, and turn to us for a recommendation, we stand behind you.  In turn we need to ensure that all members receiving referrals and credentials from the CPCA have met our minimum standards.  We rely on each member to uphold our standards and maintain the credibility of their own business and the reputation of their colleagues and Association.

The Code of Ethics is our message to our members and to the public that we stand for quality and professionalism.  Agreeing to them is a prerequisite for membership.
